This BMW M6GT3 was prepared by the Team Schnitzer, also known as the tuner for BMW. Schnitzer Motorsport was founded in 1967, and has been active with BMW cars in touring car racing. The 2018 FIA GT World Cup was a special year to Karl Lamm, known as “Charly”, at the helm of BMW Team Schnitzer. Karl Lamm not only led the team’s success for decades, but also gained wide trust in motor sports, announced his retirement at the final race of 2018 season. In November 2018, Augusto Farfus at the wheel of the BMW M6 GT3 won the FIA GT World Cup in Macau. It was Charly’s last race as team principal, and his last ever race. It was the message of thanks sent by the staff to Charly Lamm, written on the bonnet of Schnitzer’s M6 GT3 which ran through Macau in 2018, with “THANK YOU, CHARLY! “
